This Year's Success

This year has proved to be very successful for CherryValley Estate and our herd of Beef Shorthorn Pedigree Cattle. We have attended a number of different shows where our prestigious cattle have displayed their excellence by achieving a variety of different awards.

We have been recently notified that our senior bull Creaga Logic has qualified for the Champion Shorthorn Bull of the World. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the outcome of this competition.

Our Pedigree herd also proved to be very successful at the Beef Shorthorn Dinner achieving a number of prizes. In the herd competition we were awarded the best overall group of heifers and won the show team of the year. One of our brood cows came 2nd and our junior bull came 3rd.

Game Shooting

As a major part of our conservation management we encourage walked-up and driven shoots for various group sizes. We have fantastically managed wet areas which hold snipe and other wild game birds. Areas of woodland are enhanced by pheasant and partridge to offer challenging sport.

We have exceptionally well managed wet areas which breed snipe and our floral hedgerows encourage woodcock. Areas of woodland enhanced by the calling of pheasants and open planted sites great for partridge drives.
